Congratulations to Ariel Gordon who, in 2011, won the Aqua Books Lansdowne Poetry Prize for her collection Hump.

Congratulations to Elisabeh Harvor, whose book An Open Door in the Landscape, has been shortlisted for The Ottawa Book Awards.

Both Ariel Gordon and Elisabeth Harvor were longlisted for the 2011 ReLit Poetry Prize

Congratulations also to Cynthia Woodman Kerkham, whose poem "In Praise of Mushrooms" has been selected for this year's B.C. Poetry in Transit Program.

Kate Braid

Kate Braid has published three books of poetry: Covering Rough Ground (Polestar) which won the Pat Lowther Award, To This Cedar Fountain (Polestar), nominated for the BC Poetry Book Prize and Inward to the Bones: Georgia O'Keeffe's Journey with Emily Carr (Polestar), winner of the Vancity Book Prize. With poet Sandy Shreve she edited In Fine Form: The Canadian Anthology of Form Poetry.  Kate has also written, co-written or edited three books of non-fiction, and her essays, articles and poems have been widely published and anthologized. Currently she is working on a prose memoir of her time as a carpenter and, in her office, keeps a glass hammer to remind her.
